How DO YOU INITIATE REIKI?
To initiate Reiki you must have been attuned to this energy by a Reiki Master, this is known as an attunement ceremony. First of all I take you into a deep state of delta relaxation; then I’ll cleanse your energy fields before starting the attunement itself. The whole ceremony lasts around 40 minutes. Once you’ve been attuned you can start to initiate Reiki. The resonance, or strength, of the connection and channelling of Reiki is less when you first begin and increases both with practice and when you move up levels (e.g. from level I through to level III). If you book this with me I’ll get you started and you’ll get a guide that you can dip into at your leisure to find out more.
how does Reiki heal?
Reiki works in harmony with our own life energy (Ki), also referred to as Chi (Chinese) or Prana (Indian). It flows through channels called chakras, meridians and nadis, it can also pass through organs and tissues of the body. Reiki also flows around us, through our aura (or biofield). The aura has several beautiful layers, each of which serve a different purpose, an aura surrounds all living things and you can, with practice, see auras. Some people are gifted and see auras and indeed energy pathways, easily.
When your energy is balanced, unblocked and flowing freely, you will gain all the benefits of a healthy mind, body and spirit. You’ll feel energised and resilient. This requires you to put some work in too, as mentioned in my blog ‘Ki – It’s an Energy Thing’, there are lots of things that can unbalance your energy and indeed it will naturally fluctuate. Having the ability to work with and cleanse your own energy is a great gift.
Using Reiki Creatively
There is no limit to how you can use Reiki, as long as your intention is good, be as creative as you like. I have fellow Reiki Masters who use it when painting and writing, others use it as an aid when giving a talk or presentation, and it can also be used to set your intentions and goals.
Here are some of the ways you can use your Reiki at this level:
- For healing the body
- To calm the mind
- To induce deep relaxation
- To enhance meditation practice
- Use it to manifest goals and intentions
- To give you an extra burst of energy and vitality
- To enhance the experience of practices such as Tai Chi and yoga
- To aid sleep
- To enhance creative pursuits
- To start or enhance your spiritual practice
- To connect to nature
- On your food and drinks
- In your bath water
- With self massage
